1949年新中国成立时，我国科技事业几乎为零。在中国共产党的正确领导下，我们坚定方向，开始了从“向科学进军”到“科学技术是第一生产力”，从“实施科教兴国战略”到“建设创新型国家”，从“实施创新驱动发展战略”、“开启建设世界科技强国”到“全面建成社会主义现代化强国”的历史征程。科技是一面透镜，可以折射新中国的成长变迁；中国科技史，也是中华民族的伟大复兴史！

格拉斯哥学院特推出“传承红色基因，矢志科技报国”系列党史漫画，围绕近十年来能体现科技报国的人物、事迹或科技领域取得的重大成果、技术，以漫画形式礼赞科研楷模、展现高新成果、巧绘科技生活，着力反映“时代之变、中国之进、人民之呼”。

Ⅰ：“歼8之父”顾诵芬，为祖国蓝天锻造一把利器。

Ⅱ：1996年第一届珠海航展，最令人瞩目的是俄罗斯展出的苏27和苏30。

Ⅲ：儿时的纸飞机到青年的航空梦，从一脸稚气到一心飞天，到一生坚守。

Ⅳ：2022珠海航展，我国自主研发的最新一代隐形战斗机歼-20引人瞩目，在国旗前划过长空，战士整装待发，随时听从党的召唤。

改革开放以来，中国在交通建设和太空探索两个领域取得了令世界震惊的成就。复兴号列车、天眼射电望远镜、嫦娥四号、蛟龙号、长征五号、神州十号飞船、大兴机场，这些伟大的科技成就，无一不折射出中国科技发展之迅速，它们是在中国共产党的坚强领导与无数中国科技工作者的兢兢业业中产生，全程自主研发，书写了中国科技在世界上的灿烂篇章。

Since the reform and opening up, China has made amazing progress and rapid development in the fields of transportation construction and space exploration. The Fuxing Train, ‘Fast’, Chang 'e 4, the submersible Jiaolong, Long March II F carrier rocket, Shen zhou-10 spaceship, and the Daxing Airport, all of which reflect the rapid development of Chinese science and technology, are unprecedented technological achievement.
